Carolina Búzio

Carolina Buzio (Porto, 1989) studied Communication Design at the Fine-Arts University. One year was spent doing ERASMUS in Budapest (at MOME), studying 2D animation and illustration. There she won a competition and subsequently published her first children’s book, the first on a path to a fruitful career in picture books that includes major publishers from the UK and the USA.

She now lives in Berlin where she works as a freelance illustrator and artist.

Her works are always colourful and bold, with an emphasis on storytelling, human emotions and connections. In her personal body of work she tends to explore different crafts and techniques.
