Henriette Arcelin
Collecting objects she uses as models for her ceramics or illustrations is part of her creative process. In her illustrations, she invents imaginary spaces, drawing inspiration from botany, natural history illustrations or marine biology.
Following the tradition of the ancient explorers, she gathers research and specimens, recollections of objects and places, allowing the creation of a fantasy landscape. In these personal cabinets of wonders, we can find some reminiscence of the places she traveled or lived in, and references to the folklore, textiles, and crafts from various parts of the world.
