Ileana Rovetta

Illustrator of Argentinian origin.

Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca, it was during her stay in Athens that she was charmed by the illustration world. Since then, she has been drawing hopeful characters, sensitive and attentive to their natural environment. As she loves bright plain colours combined with bold curvy lines, screen printing easily became her favourite printing technique.

Living in Lisbon for almost a decade now, she has had the pleasure of creating illustrations for magazines such as Monocle, The Forecast, Freundin and ¡La Leche!. Her work has been selected for the Iberoamérica Ilustra 2016 catalog, Ilustríssima 2016/17 and Bienal de Ilustração de Guimarães 2019.

Becoming a mother has greatly influenced her work in recent years, which she uses to express her admiration for the children’s imaginary.
