Alba Macfarlane

I was born in Barcelona and I am currently living in the Midi-Pyrénées region in the South of France.
I began studying art at a very young age
and started my professional career as a space and costume designer
for dance and theatre
after graduating with a degree in set design
from the Barcelona Theatre Institute.

I have also studied pattern design and natural textiles and, in 2020,
created Mironesia, my first textiles collection of illustrated cotton pieces.

Through painting, drawing and textile design
I explore quietness, relief and simplicity.
